Why Counselling Can Help.

Many people go to counselling to feel better when they’re dealing with mental health problems like depression and anxiety. Some of the negative feelings they might experience include:
  •    Constant worry
  •    Emotional stress
  •    Trouble sleeping
  •    Harmful habits
  •    Thoughts of Self Harm
  •    Feeling hopeless

These feelings can make life hard. They can affect your private, social and working relationships and your family and social life

Discovering and understanding your individual personality traits, preferences, needs, spiritual beliefs, openness and motivation level along with their health and age are some of the first steps to identifying a course of therapy tailored to you.

My Approach.

A beautiful dandelion.

I work in a humanistic way also known as person centred.

Person centred approach believes that the client is able to make changes to their lives with the help and guidance of a professional therapist. It is about harnessing the clients natural healing process.

Using an Integrative approach is aimed at matching evidence-based treatments with each client’s particular needs.

The first step is to discover and understand the client’s individual personality traits, preferences, needs, spiritual beliefs, openness and motivation level. These factors along with their health and age will help me use my professional judgment to decide on a treatment approach with the highest likelihood of success.

I will regularly evaluate the clients progress with the modality which is currently being tried and be ready to change if it is no longer beneficial to the client.
